Riding on a Dark Horse

Part IV:
   It has been a few weeks since Rion was settled in his new home in Aphrodite, everything was like it was before being in the custody of Dorothy and her ravenous rabbits. Now it is September and he is starting school for the first time in years.

"So..when was the last time you were in school?" Kat muttered gripping the wheel of her car. She glances to her right at Rion whom was dressed up very nicely in a black shirt,white tie,along with navy blue slacks and blazer. He looked very mature and grown up.

"When I was thirteen and was in the eighth grade.." Rion replied looking through his backpack. He looks at Kat with a small grin and muses "It's hard to believe that I am being put in the eleventh grade and I can hardly drive a car yet!"

"Yeah..well..you're one hell of a smart kid." Kat said with a large fox-like smile "...and a cute one too all of the ladies are gonna be chasing ya!"

  Rion blushes slightly at the comment. Before he was a scrawny blonde kid with a pale wasted face and the eyes of a killer, but now he looks like any other teenager which he likes. "What's the new school called again?"

"Tao Fujiyama Senior High..." Kat replied.
"Hmm..doesn't sound like a juvenile hall..." Rion muttered looking out the window.

"What makes you say that? You thought we were gonna put you in a boarding school?" Kat says with a laugh
"Well..considering what my record was..." Rion mutters his face turning beet red with embarassement.

"Ah..don't worry about that! You are in a public school like everyone else.." Kat mutters ruffling Rion's blond strands with her right hand. "You just relax and work hard at your new school and new life.."

"Thanks M- I mean Kat..." Rion replies straightening out his hair.

"I can't believe Eve made us come here!" Rainheart scowled leaning against the school locker "I'd rather be popping Rabbit heads right now.."

"Oh shut up already..were here to help Rion...AH! I can't believe I said that!" Rita muttered looking at her face in a compact mirror "Besides while were here..we might as well learn about what humans are like and what's a better place than a school."

  It has been about an half an hour since the Galerians trio known as Birdman,Rita and Rainheart has set foot in Tao Fujiyama High. Eve had sent them on a mission to help Rion and to protect the people in case of any rabbits that might be lurking around. All three of them weren't too excited about the whole idea.

"Well..while we're here we might as well blend into the crowd as a group of teenagers..anyway.I think we'll get used to this.." Rita said closing her mirror, she looks to her left at Birdman whom was at a locker flirting with a pretty raven-haired girl.

"Looks like Birdman's getting into things..." Rainheart said with a grin on his round face, from the corner of his brown eye he suddently sees a cute japanese girl with a couple of her girlfriends walking down the hall
"And if you'll excuse me..I'll be off doing my own research on human biology!"

  Rita looks at Rainheart in shock as he runs over to the girls and starts using his own "charm" on the three young tennagers. She just replied with a hard slap on her forehead and nodding her face in embarassement..her brother became from a psychopath to a casanova. "Me and my big mouth!"

  Eventually Rion arrived at his new school, it wasn't as large as the one he went to in Michelangelo city but it is better than one controlled entirely by Ai computers. He looks around at the parking lot at the other teenagers whom were hanging around the doors..he hope he wasn't looked at as a freak.

"Here we are Rion.." Kat said slowing down the car at the main doors "Have fun kid..I'll meet ya here at three o'clock.."
"See ya Kitty-Kat.." Rion replied crawling out of his seat.

  He watches as the sports car drove away from the parking lot and suddently he sees the same two women again through the window of the restaurant across the street..this time he could see their features more clearly. One to the left was a tall blonde haired woman wearing a black trenchcoat she was frozen in her stance her eyes locked on him...to the right was a younger looking girl with long red dreadlocks..she looked very familiar to Rion. Was she one of the test rabbits? Or was she like Doctor Lem and the others.

 Just in case without a second to spare he sprinted out of their site when they were distrated. He ran out of the way and leapt into the doors of the school. He didn't want to mess with anyone.
"Who the hell are them two? And why are they watching me?" Rion thought his heart beating in fear "And who was that red-head? She looks so familiar..."

  In a split second a vision entered his mind..it was very vague but he could still hear some of the voices. Some familiar others just plain strange. It looked like something from the past. Rion felt very tired suddently and he fell to the ground unconcious.

"Yani Eva dear...would you mind keeping an eye on the kids..I gotta go and help Mr. Steiner in the basement.."
"Yes Mrs. Steiner..."

The next thing he sees was a blurred vision of a dimmed room to his right was a cute little baby girl with brown hair in the arms of a older girl with short sandy blonde hair and familiar blue eyes. Then he sees a red-headed girl walking into the room and picking up something in her arms.

"Hello there...how's my little cutie?"

  He heards the sound of laughing almost sounds like a baby. He looks down to see the girl smiling and twirling around the room with a little infant in her arms. The baby was cooing loudly enjoying the attention he was recieving..Rion was wondering what scene was this so he takes a closer look at the kid in her arms through the mirror and realize it was him in the young girl's arms laughing.

"Who's this girl? What does she have to do with my family?"

He then hears the sound of Yani Eva dancing around the room singing a song one that he remembered singing a long time ago when he was five..he never knew how he learned that song but now he knows.

"Oh Rion...Rion wake up....RION!!"

  Suddently he was disconnected from his memory and woke up looking at a tall stern man looming over him. Rion felt very stupid falling unconcious like that. This kind of thing never happened..he looked up awaiting the teacher's leature but the man didn't look very angry..

"Hello? You alive in there?!" The man laughed in a low tone
"Uh..yeah..Sorry about that sir.." Rion mumbled raising up from the yellow-green grass.
"Ah! That's alright..it's just you're first day here am I right?" the man said with a bellowing laugh "My name is Mr.Koushiro I am the principal of Tao Fujiyama Senior high.."

"Uh oh..I am not in trouble am I?" Rion stammered
"Only if this sleeping thing is a habit...now let's get you to class Rion Steiner" Mr Koushiro said with a toothy grin.

"Crap! We lot the sight of Rion!!" Maria hissed taking a small sip of her black coffee "Ugh! Better get milk next time.."
"Don't worry about a thing...Raven,Robyn and Sparrow is in there in an assignment I gave them.."
"Huh? Who are Raven, Robyn and Sparrow?"

"Ha! Don't you know..Birdman Rita and Rainheart! Those are just new names I gave them..They enrolled in the school as the Crowe siblings.."
"Oh...so what's their assignment?"
"Just keep watch on Rion and protect the people.."

"Do you actually think they are gonna do that? You know Rita and the way she acts.."

"Well..she actually wanted to know what humans are actually like so she agreed..."

"WHAT!!!" Maria screeched. The rest of the people looked at Maria as if she was insane,Maria sheepishly sat down with a bright red and wisphers to Eve "That can't be true.."

"Really then listen to this..I taped the conversation..." Eve said with a devilish grin playing a small tape recorder in her hands, the air filled up with the soft staticy sounds of her entire conversation with her Rita Birdman and Rainheart.

Eve: Crowes! I got an assignment for you...
Birdman: (saracastic) What now oh fearless leader!

Eve: You are going to be on a mission at the Fujiyama high school to look after Rion..
Rainheart: WHAAAAAATTTT!!! You know how I feel around him...at times I wanna strangle that little bastard!!

Eve: Well then Cain will be pissed off for you killing his brother!
Rainheart: I don't give a shit!

Eve: You will when I get my hands on you!
Rainheart: *gulp* Alright okay I'll do it but I won't like it Yeesh!

Rita: I'll go for it..I'd like to know what people are actually like! You know what I mean *wink wink shove shove*
Birdman: Are you missing a microchip in your head or is your brain screwed up!?

Rita: Shut up *belts him in the gut*
Birdman: Ow..you bitch!

Eve: Okay guys enough!! You are gonna go tommarrow!
Rainheart: SHIT!! This sucks ass!

"You little Devil! All hail to Eve!!" Maria hollers and hugging Eve with glee "Heee heee hee and IF they do ever go against you..use this tape as blackmail! They may be strong but we got them in our hands!!"

  In the classroom Rion was eventually settled in. The room was huge containing about fifty chatty students including three strange but familiar looking people..they were new students like Rion called the Crowe siblings. The oldest one Raven Crowe with his younger sister Robyn Crowe and their youngest brother Sparrow Crowe.

"Okay everyone take your seats! " The teacher Mr.Treenin bellowed "I am your new teacher for this year..your old one Mrs.Carbapple has retired.

  The students except for Rion and the Crowes who had no damn clue was cheering loudly for the teacher's departure. Rion just sat there and kept quiet..he didn't bother since he doesn't know who the person was. Suddenlty the teacher looked up and stared at Rion.

"And you're name son?" Mr Treenin muttered looking through the list.
"Rion..sir." Rion muttered then under his breath he wisphers "You got a problem with that?"

  "Rion Steiner? Like the kid to the mad scientist Dr. Stiener?" A scruff male voice squawked through the crowd. Rion looked to his left at the other side of the room to see a punk kid in a leather suit with a switchblade in his hand,stumming the blade over this fingers. "Well? Are you that psycho kid?"

  Rion just avoided his look and turned his head back to the book. He didn't want to pick a fight with someone especially on the first day of  high school. "My name is Rion Steiner..but I am not a psycho...I don't dress in complete leather..that's my twin!"

  "Is he a maniac like you kid?" The guys laughed walking slyly over to Rion's desk. Mr Treenin tried to shut him up, but the goth boy just waved the switchblade in front of his face as a threat. "Well are ya? Answer me boy!!"

"Listen..don't get on my bad side!" Rion hissed loudly standing up on his chair looking down at him. His blue eyes staring coldly at him. "You don't wanna see the consenquences of my anger..I may look small but I am tough...who knows even tougher than thou.."

"Show me! Come on..Kid put up your dukes and fight like a man!!" The guy muttered. Rion didn't bother answering him..so the guy then started waving his arms around like a lunatic and making chicken sounds "Cluck cluck cluck! You damn chicken!!"

"Well..I am not the one strutting and waving his arms like a rooster in heat!" Rion laughed pointing out how the guy was making an ass of himself. The rest of the class was laughing their heads off and making cheering noises for Rion. This made the punk kid very pissed.

"You little..." The guy hollered as he was about to lunge at him.

  Rion just sat there very quiet..too quiet. As the man was about to land a punch on his face Rion used his mind to lift his ebony colored fountian pen in the air and made it explode in the guy's face. The man stopped in his tracks..his entire face was painted black he looked through the ink curtian to see the class laughing even harder even Mr.Treenin.

"You bastard! I'll get you for this..they don't call me the Viper for nothing.." Viper hissed walking out of the door.

"Of course...they don't!!!" Rion yelled behind him he then starts laughing but this time not an evil one..he was laughing for the first time in years. The rest of class looked at Rion and cheered for him. This was the first time anyone has put up with Henry "Viper" MacGee. Rion was quite pleased at what he's done without his fire or electiricity and without hurting anyone...he's really starting to like it here in Fujiyama High.

Michelangelo Hospital 2:50

  Thing were very quiet in the labouratory..the only sounds were from the humming of  busy machines and the metallic sounds of surgical tools cutting and slicing at a soft substance. Flesh? Maybe so..maybe not..but there was something abrewing in the hospitals of Michelangelo.

"How's the body coming along?" A low deep voice bellowed in the darkness. "Will it be ready soon?"

 One doctor poked his head up from the crowd "We are almost finished Sir...she just needs a few more adjustements and it'll be ready." He then buries his head down at the crowd and starts working again. The sound of a whirlling machine followed by a scream of pain filled in the air but then silence slides in once more.

  "Soon we'll have our revenge against Rion!" The man said with an evil laughter he looks over at a long shadow clinging on a wall "Michelangelo as well as the rest of the world will be yours again to shape from your imagination..Dorothy!"

  "Wonderfull..." A female voice replied "I'll have my children by my side once more..except for Rion whom will be 'disowned' and exiled by my rule. My dear sweet child...you'll become my most wonderful creation..you will help her regain what's rightfully mine..you will crush the forces of the "Armageddon" run by Eve and Maria and you'll slice the throat of the Godforsaken mistake called Rion..."

  They looked at the stretcher at the body..she didn't looked much with all of the scars and stitches. But soon she will be finished and ready to go on with her mission to invade the worled and eterminate mankind forever and have the perfect creations of Galerians walk the earth looking down on humans like mere insects.

"My child..make your mother proud.." The soft voice wisphered stroking the cheek with cold fingers "I will never regret this."
