Part III: Mysteries Emerge from the Darkness.
Section 44: Midnight
"How did it go?" the young woman asked Katrina hidden amonst
the shadows "Did Rion agreed to move in with you?
"Yes...it's going as according to plan." Kat replied looking at
the shapley silhouette on the brick wall.
The woman paused for a minute taking the last drag of her cigarette and
crushing the butt on the graffiti littered pavement."You've done well
Katrina...Eve was right about you."
"Thank you Miss."
"Don't mention it..just concentrate on the mission. The Galerians
may be gone but we know Dorothy is not dead. From our experienced spies we've
found out about what plans they are gonna do next...."
"The 'Rion Project'." Kat muttered
"Don't interrupt me while I'm speaking Katrina. Anyway..back to the
subject, like you said the Rion project is nothing but a seek and destroy
mission.They know how strong he is..they know he could be the fall of their
cyber empire that why they're trying to kill him."
"What's your plan to destroy them?" Kat said
"Eve and I haven't thought of what to do next..it's your job now to
take Rion away from Michelangelo to the city of Aphrodite. Right now we're
trying to protect Rion,Lilla and the other Galerians."
"Like Birdman,Rita,Rainheart and Cain?"
"Right. They are the most powerful after Rion, he's even more
powerful than all of them combined even Eve and I are no match for him."
"I see...such power in such a young man."
"True...and he pays the price for having such power. His soul as
well as body was tortured to the extremes,any other person would be dead if
they went through the same thing."
"Rion may be strong..but at times he's a scared little boy."
"That's because he let's his fear get in the way of using his
powers...he shouldn't have his emotions plaquing his mind while
fighting..."
"He shouldn't act heartless..." Kat muttered "Beside he
could never act that cold."
"I am not saying he should be..you gotta have heart for some
people..but when it comes to them it doesn't matter.They don't care about
anyone..so why should you care for them. Unless you know they are more than
killing machines."
"Just like Eve..."
"Yup! Just like her..."

"Hey Kat!! I'm ready" A cheerful Rion jumping through the stairs
and sliding down the bansiters.He has his tightly packed backpack
strapped to his back with his precious objects including Lilla's doll "All
set to go Kitty-Kat!"
"You are certianly happy today!" Katrina replied with a grin.
"No offense to them but since I had been in the hospital for more than
I've been in school. I've been..."
"..DYING to get out of here!" Kat finished
"Vveeeery funny!" Rion smirked giving Kat an evil playful face
"Anyway..let's go. I want out of here!"
"Okay Mr Steiner! Just go wait in the car." Kat chuckled handing
him her car keys
Rion walks swiftly out of the doors of the hospital, greeted with the
warmth of the summer breeze.It was quite a surpise since he was in a coma since
last autumn. He walks over to Kat deep blue sportscar and took out her keys in
his pocket.Suddently he sees something from the corner of his eye, he looks up
across the street to see two shadowy figures in the shade of a willow tree.He
couldn't make out the exact shape of the strangers but it looked like two
females standing there-none which he reconized-
"Rion? Rion dear what are you looking at?" Kat muttered behind
him.
"It's two women standing over there..they look like they are watching
me..." Rion muttered his left hand pointing in the direction and the car
keys jingling in his trembling right hand.
"What do you mean? I don't see any women..Oh Rion you must be having
halluciations again.."
Rion turns around again and looked at the same spot where he saw
them. But unfortunatley they were not there,there was no even a single trace of
anyone being there. Almost as if they disappeared into thin air..
"I swear Kat..I saw them. At least I think I did..."
"Don't you worry Rion..you won't be suffering anymore..when we get out
of this godforsaken town."
"Excuse me? I thought you lived here in Michelangelo city.."
"Not anymore..ever since my new 'promotion'."

"Maria...what's the update on the Armageddon project?"
"Eve..Rion has been taken by Kat and they are on their way to
Aphrodite even as we speak.."
"Good job Lutientant Maria Kida..We'll get Dorothy yet! She won't
have a chance to rule over us again. All we need now is more help of any
Galerians who wants freedom from their cruel mistress and her rabbits. The one
who consdiers herself godly will die in the powerful soldier Rion's
hands."
"Agent Katrina is taking custody of Rion. Birdman,Rita and Rainheart
whom has taken under the codename the 'Murder of Crowes' is rounding up every
sufferor,Lilla and Cain is hacking in her computers to steal their DNA plans
and infecting every file containing her blueprints with a virus."
"Would that stop her completely?"
"No..since she's in another form but it will stop her from creating
anymore Galerians and toturing the souls of all in the project."
"Good..I want this to be a safe world for our next generation from
her dark clutches."
"I'm sure Rion would want to help you in this mission. He never want
anyone to experience the pain we all did back then..."
"I hope so Maria..God save our souls.."

Hours went by on the road, and everything
was silent there was not even a word spoken in the entire trip.Rion was racking
his brains out trying to figure out the bizzare encounter with the strangers.
Where they Galerians? Can he trust them? And why are they spying on him?
"Kat...where are we going anyway? We've been driving for hours.."
Rion muttered looking at the sunset "......Kat?"
"Huh? What was that kid?" Kat mumbled in a sleepy voice.
"Where are we heading to?"
"Aphrodite.."
"How far is that from Michelangelo?"
"Quite far...but we'll be there in a few minutes."
"Why are you taking me away from Michelangelo? I mean Dorothy is
dead...right?"
Perspiration dripped on Kat's forehead. If she says anything it would
make things worse..but if she didn't Rion would force the answers out of her.
"Um...There are some groups..of Galerians trying to hunt you down for
killing Mother Dororthy."
"Well...You shouldn't worry about that! I'll just bust their heads like
overripe fruit." Rion replied trying to cheer her up "I can take care
of myself in that situation."
"I am not so sure about that.." Kat thought gripping onto
her steering wheel tightly "Thing has changed since last year.."
A few mintues later they ended up at an old place called "Middle
of Nowhere Hotel" and technically they are right about one thing being in
the land of eternal midnight. Kat and Rion got out of their car and rented a
room for a night. It was getting quite late to drive anymore on the road.
"Just put your stuff over there Rion." Kat said putting her
suitcase on the queen-sized bed
Rion laid his backpack in the closet. He didn't really worry about
clothes because he only had a couple of pairs. He walked over,sat on one of the
beds and flopped down on the mattress. It wasn't really high on the comfortable
rating, but is was much better than being strapped down practically bare-naked
on the cold steel operation table.
"Are you gonna take a shower before going to bed?" Kat muttered
taking out her satin pyjamas
"Yeah..but I don't have a change of clothes to sleep in." Rion
mumbled sheepishly. Kat replied to him by a t-shirt and a pair of black shorts
thrown at his face. "Oh...thanks!"
"Don't mention it kid!" Kat said with a sweet smile on her face.
After spending a nice relaxing moment in the shower-then having it
turn icy cold after ten minutes!-Rion got into his clothes and crawled into his
cot. He looks at one side at Kat whom was laying on the other bed watching TV.
"What'cha watchin'?" Rion asked pulling the covers over his legs
"Nothing much on this peice of crap except for hundreds of adult
movies...Jesus! Isn't there a horror movie on or something?"
"Try the WTN channel..I'm sure you'll get lots of scare from that.Other
than that If you really wanna get scarred for life. I think Pokemon is
on."
"Ha ha!" Kat muttered saracastically "Veeery funny Rion.
HEY!! The space channel is having a sci-fi movie marathon! Wanna watch it with
me Rion?"
"No thank you Kat..I think I'll go hit the sack." Rion muttered
lying down on the mattress with the blanket up to his neck.
"Okay...Goodnight Rion.."
"Goodnight Kat." Rion muttered sleeply

"Ugh! I am really starting to hate this job!" Cain scowled
bending his chair back about 180 degrees."Talk about booooring! I wish I
was out with the others in Michelangelo about."
"Just shut the hell up and help me with this...Eve trusted us to help
her on this mission." Lilla growled reaching a hand and pulling Cain's
chair upright "Would you rather be under Dorothy's control again? Just
after Eve spared your sorry ass life!"
"Well..well..aren't we hissy tonight Lilla?" Cain replied looking
at the computer screen "You are so different than the last time I met
ya!"
"Yeah! That was the time Rion was kicking your scrawny ass..."
Lilla muttered smiling
"How did you know? Where you checking me out at the time?"
Lilla shuddered voilently "Oh your gonna be sorry for ever saying that
Cain..."
"Ooh! I am so scared!"
"Cain...fuck off already!" a voice spoke behind him whom was Rita.
She was followed by Birdman and Rainheart it looked like they had returned from
their assignment early.
"Hey Rita! Did ya miss me?" Cain smirked with a cute face.
"Hardly...seeign you reminds me when I was defeated by Rion." Rita
scowled under her breath "Ugh! What a fight that was!"
"ME? Like RION?" Cain exclaimed looking very pissed off
"I am hardly like Rion...even though I am his clone!"
"Uh huh! The Doctors probably screwed up the DNA quite badly to come up
with you." Lilla smirked grinning even wider
"You little b-" Cain growled
"For god sakes everyone SHUT UP!!" Rainheart hissed when Cain and
Lilla was about to going into a verbal war "That's enough already! Sheesh!
I've seen the most difficult rabbits behaved better than that...."
"Whatever!" Cain muttered pulling Rainheart's bandana over his
eyes
"Cain! Lilla! What's the situation on your assignment?" a loud
voice bellowed behind them. "What's going on?"
"Maria! Well...we are almost finished except for one person who
wouldn't keep his damn mouth shut!" Lilla hissed looking at Cain with and
evil glare. "Other than that we got the Galerians project files here just
like you said..."
"Good! Now everything else will be easy!" Maria muttered giving
them a disc containg the virus "Just upload this in..."
"I'll take that!" Cain said swiping the disc out of Maria's hand
and injecting it into the computer "You can take a break Lilla."
"Oh Thank you Cain!" Lilla said in a saracastic tone "Make me
do AAAAALLLLLLL the work and you take the easy stuff."
"Yup! That's da plan!" Cain muttered with an playful grin
Lilla slaps her forehead "Ugh! You are impossible..."
"Ah don't worry about that for now...Eve's got another job for you
Lilla." Maria said to Lilla trying to get her mind out of the hundred ways
of torturing Cain!
"Alright! I'll think about killing Cain later on this evening..."
Lilla said walking over and giving Cain a swift kick in the derierre with her
steel-toed boots "Adios! El Sore Ass!"
"Oouch! That really smarts!" Cain hissed in pain.
